Meet the Dietitian Behind FoodFeasible
Good food starts in your own community.
Lela Niemetz has been a registered dietitian since 2012. She also owns and operates a farm in Central New York with her husband, so she knows food from both ends: how it’s grown and how it nourishes people.
She started FoodFeasible to connect people with food grown close to home, and to make nutrition feel less like a rulebook and more like something you can taste, grow, and share.
That idea comes to life at the Masonic Care Community of New York, where Lela started a garden whose harvest goes straight into the community’s day-to-day cooking. Fresh, local food ends up on residents’ plates, not as a special event but as part of everyday meals.
Today, FoodFeasible brings that same approach to schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods, and supports skilled nursing facilities across New York State with experienced registered dietitian-nutritionists.
